Machine Legacy

Our efforts to crack the data archive on … have at last granted access to its outermost core. Of all the storage media clusters found at this site, this one appears the most battered and aged. In the end that provided us our clue for the decryption key: an arrangement of glyphs in one of our species' own languages, spelling the word 'LEGACY'. We found surprisingly little data within. Instead a large part of this solid-state device is reserved for a text-based heuristic interface, which is attempting to communicate with us now.
