Their labyrinthine city is littered with junk, their towering ramshackle buildings pieced together from scraps of re-purposed materials. As far as the eye can see are mountains of knick-knacks, ornaments and artifacts. The tiny ratlike inhabitants did not produce any goods of their own but were proficient spacefarers who likely pilfered the things they needed, as well as a whole lot of things they did not need, from other alien cultures.
	We have found the wreckage of a ruined megastructure. The construct is obviously in desperate need of repairs, and we've found a wealth of xenological insights in its databanks. While we're deciding whether to rebuild this ancient technology, our archaeologists have an opportunity to extract and recover clues to the origin of this cosmic device. A series of logs from one of the inventors, the 'Quantum Architect,' seems especially promising. Recovering files should help us decipher the culture and history of the ancient race that left us this tech.

Clearly a highly advanced civilization once dwelt there, but today there are no life signs nor electromagnetic signals consistent with a technological society. The planet seems dead. We will have to go down there to find out more.

One of our ships analyzing the [Root.solar_system.GetName] system has come across a small crashed ship on the moon of [Root.Planet.Orbit.GetName], [Root.Planet.GetName]. It bears no emblems or sigils we have seen before, and some samples have been brought back to be tested further, but the vessel itself is much too large and unstable to be moved. Additional analysis and testing will have to be done on-site.

Despite lacking any noteworthy tectonic activity, sensory scans of the planet have registered puzzling seismographic data. Something is moving underground, something big. Vast expanses of impenetrable white, glass lakes and jagged turquoise glaciers against fiery orange skies torn open like a wound, pouring red into the seas as [From.Planet.Solar_System.GetName]'s stars set. If the world had an end this would be it. Here the seas lie still and the snow untouched. The only sounds are the thunder of the ice calving and the wind howling across the plains. Yet, [From.Planet.GetName] was once someone's home. In the midst of a wide barren field the black metal framework of a steeple protrudes from the white masses. What forgotten secrets could be buried beneath the snow?

Even without instruments, one can readily see the remains of vast conurbations down on [From.Planet.GetName]. Clearly a highly advanced civilization once dwelt there, but today there are no life signs nor electromagnetic signals consistent with a technological society. The planet seems dead. We will have to go down there to find out more.

Their skin is covered in fine scale plating, their postures vigilant, ready to spring to action, and their unmoving eyes follow your every step. Yet there is nothing in the area in apparent need of protection. Perhaps their ward did not survive the passing of time. Many of the Sentinels themselves bear marks of assault.

The secrets of the cataclysm that befell this world will reveal much of our own system's history, and hopefully ease our society's obsession with its own predicted destruction. Orbital scans indicate swirling patterns of intense energy isolated to a point in the southern hemisphere - an ominous eye staring back at us.

The surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is entirely covered in the remains of dead Tiyanki. Our sensors detect no signs of life, and yet the corpses still writhe and squirm, as if animated by some inscrutable force.

The surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is utterly without precedent in all our exploration to date. Vast geological areas, from mountain ranges to entire continents, are suddenly cut by shapes far too geometrically regular to be natural in origin. The otherwise natural-looking environments are suddenly broken by entirely flat planes, perfect triangles and sharply-angled corners. At present, any explanation of this baffling phenomenon is pure conjecture.

[from.Planet.GetName]'s surface is almost entirely covered by a lattice grid of small, circular, liquid-filled pools. Their neat alignment suggests deliberate engineering rather than natural formation. A field expedition may provide more answers.

The entire surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is scarred by long, shallow canals. They cross and re-cross each other haphazardly, with no apparent logic to their layout. It is as yet uncertain if they are an unusual natural feature, or something else. A surface expedition is required to try to ascertain more.

The vast, frozen wastelands of [from.planet.GetName] were once seas, spread atop an abundance of deep volcanic canyons. Though the environment is no longer capable of supporting life, we have detected the ruins of ancient submarine settlements in icebound trenches close to the planet's surface.

The Unity colony operated for roughly twenty-five years before contact was lost. Whatever happened here, the record survived. The colony's archivist kept logging until the end.

The planet the drones were protecting is tidally locked, one side facing the cold darkness of space, and the other bathed in perpetual light. On the warm, light-filled half of this world we uncovered the ruins of what may be a Vagrosian city. Keides trusts that details of his past are buried here, and hopes the findings might reveal the planet's history. This site must be excavated by Keides himself.

A large reinforced cache has been found underneath the broken ground of [From.Planet.GetName]. It's surprisingly intact considering the years it spent buried in a radioactive wasteland.

Magnificent ornamental structures and cavernous chambers telling of a rich culture have been cut expertly from the bedrock and a system of paved tunnels, protected by massive gates, leads deeper into the mountain. Exploring the site will be perilous as the mountain is rich with methane gas, known for its explosive qualities.

As destructive as cosmic storms can be, this one uncovered evidence an alien civilization. Though the planet's atmosphere is incredibly unstable, a landing party might reveal whatever horrible fate befell this ancient culture.
