site_minigalaxy_2

This ancient Relic World was imprisoned behind an impenetrable energy barrier for roughly 75,000 years. It must once have been a vibrant ecumenopolis home to hundreds of billions of individuals, but the streets and buildings are deserted now. None of the planet's original inhabitants remain.

site_the_chosen_backstory

An abandoned observation outpost orbits [From.Planet.MoonOf.GetName]. It may shed some light on the origins of the pre-FTL Charynoi civilization on the planet below.

site_absolute_zero

Topographical scans of [from.Planet.GetName] show extreme temperatures approaching absolute zero localized in a particular subterranean region. A more detailed study of the interior should yield more answers.

ancient_battle_site

site_krazura_dig

We've discovered the ruins of an ancient city on [From.Planet.GetName]. Given its size and scale, this was likely the capital or central administrative hub of a major space-faring civilization. A full excavation will be necessary to properly determine its origin.

site_abandoned_bio_lab

Scans of [fromfrom.planet.GetName] discovered an isolated facility in the planet's most inaccessible region. The structure appears to be dormant or abandoned, with no energy signature and signs of prolonged weathering. An archaeological expedition may yield further insight.

site_ancient_robot_world

The sole planet in the [From.Planet.System.GetName] system is bustling with drones. Heedless of us, they continue to perform their tasks. If the answers to this curious system are to be found anywhere, it is here.

site_zarqlan

A chameleon energy field was concealing an ancient structure on the surface of this planet. Only a chance observation of an asteroid impact revealed its existence as the meteor deflected off the field. With the field deactivated, archaeologists will now have access to the large and forbidding building complex hidden beneath it.

site_anomalous_cube

A colossal metallic cube has been found on [Planet.GetName]. Its seamless form is suggestive of advanced technological capabilities, although we cannot begin to speculate upon its origin or function. An archaeological expedition may provide answers.

site_ebb_and_flow

The surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is devoid of all life. However, there are indications of a previously thriving biosphere, and some interesting tectonic activity which may warrant a closer look.

site_phoenix_collective

Our survey ship has scanned [From.Planet.GetName] and detected some artificial structures worth a closer look. Unnervingly, there are no signs of any population down there.

site_command_center

A collision with a smaller asteroid has revealed a small blast door or airlock extending slightly from the surface of [From.Planet.GetName]. It appears to be thousands of years old, and had previously been concealed by rocks and dust. For unknown reasons, scans cannot penetrate the asteroid's interior and the blast door is impervious to conventional cutting tools. To learn what is behind this door, a team would likely have to dig their way towards the center of the asteroid from another direction.

site_sky_glow_hymn

Surface scans of [From.Planet.GetName] picked up signs that a technological civilization may have been active on the planet, but has since gone extinct. We will need to mount a surface expedition to learn more.

site_weathermanipulators_last_shelter

The Inetian Traders tried to protect a space station within this system from a small celestial dust storm. As an unforeseen consequence, the storm grew so large several other of their systems were destroyed. Why were they so desperate to protect this facility?

site_hive_coral

Scans made by the Science Ship in orbit of [From.Planet.GetName] shows some strange formations beneath the waves, and inexplicable water currents. The weather is relatively placid and storms are rare, yet the planetary seas seem to constantly roil and churn, driven by some unknown force beneath the surface. A closer inspection is recommended.

site_benign_cover_up

We have found a good location to bury the cache intended for the Thwaa'Phyr as they one day take to the stars anew. A gift in the future, to giants of the past.

site_buried_deep

Our scanners have picked up something deep beneath the surface of [From.Planet.GetName].

site_bury_the_hatchet

This spot has been chosen by the archaeology department as a perfect site to bury assets for the Relentless descendants when they 'come of space age'.

site_adakkaria_celebration

After the communication with the cosmic storm, a small part of adSul was revealed to us. Between the remnant clouds stood a massive complex. Abandoned, yet strangely unaffected by the eons, scans reveal organic material on the inside. Rising before the immense building were a series of banners bearing a single proclamation: It Is Time for Celebration.

site_chronicles_of_dendrus

Scans of [from.Planet.GetName] revealed the presence of a spaceborne shipwreck. The vessel appears to have endured an uncontrolled landing here many years ago. Its massive scale suggests immense resources were once committed to its construction. An archaeological expedition will help us ascertain how it ended up here.

leylines_digsite

city_of_bones

site_weathermanipulators_CoordinatesA_Residential_Planet

One of the three coordinate sets found in the ancient storm shelter has led us to [From.Planet.GetName]. Given the extent of the ruins, it's clear that this planet once boasted many sprawling urban centers. This is likely where the citizens of the Inetian Traders would have lived, eons ago. Why these coordinates were securely stored in a storm shelter will need to be investigated.

site_weathermanipulators_CoordinatesB_Industrial_Planet

One of the three coordinates found in the ancient storm shelter has led us to [From.Planet.GetName], an industrial world from the Inetian Traders' empire. Based on the existing architecture, this was clearly not a residential planet. However, it remains uncertain what exactly its industrial might was meant to produce.

site_weathermanipulators_CoordinatesC_Barren_Planet

One of the three coordinates found in the ancient storm shelter has led us to [From.Planet.GetName]. The surface is little more than snow and dust, but initial scans show that the planet was once habitable. Was it important to the Inetian Traders before or after its ruin?

site_freighter_crash

A small canyon of sorts has been carved onto the surface of this [From.Planet.GetPlanetMoon] by the violent impact of a starship. What remains of the vessel can still be found on the canyon floor. Although the crash must have occurred eons ago, the wreckage appears to be reasonably intact. An archaeological expedition would be able to learn more.

site_dark_secret

The coordinates point to an arbitrary spot down on the surface of [From.Planet.GetName]. Closer scans indicate nothing out of the ordinary.

site_debris_belt

Our scans of the [From.Planet.System.GetName] system show that its asteroid belt is of an unusual variety. Instead of the standard mix of rocks, ice and space rubble that usually make up such formations, it seems to be the remains of a number of large, artificial habitats. These must have been destroyed with incredible violence sometime in the last few millennia. Untold secrets may be contained within the resulting debris field, but it is so extensive that charting it out could take quite some time.

site_deja_vu_dig

Scans of [From.Planet.GetName] uncovered an artificial chamber deep beneath the surface - its purpose and origin unknown. Magnification revealed an excavated shaft leading from the surface to the subterranean vault. Further analysis will require sending an expedition down to the surface of [From.Planet.GetName].

site_deserted_mining_facility

Orbital imaging of [from.Planet.GetName] has flagged a dilapidated mining facility accompanied by long abandoned rudimentary space faring cargo vessels. Alongside these images, our shortwave communications array has picked up a very faint distress beacon emanating deep below the planet's surface. A more detailed study of the site will reveal its origins.

site_fumongus_dig

We have found signs of water all over this world. For all we know, it should still be here. The temperatures are within the normal range for liquid water to exist, and there is still an atmosphere, albeit tenuous. And yet, everything here is dry and what vegetation exists is parched. In addition, scans have revealed traces of another spacefaring civilization on the planet. The archaeological team will have two goals: find out what happened to the water and understand what other spacefarers have been doing here. Most hypotheses are already linking the two and some in the team believe that this might have been the work of 'water thieves'.

site_fossilized_jellyfish

The Science Ship in orbit around [From.Planet.GetName] has detected clusters of small, round islands dotting the ocean planet. From a geological standpoint they are highly unusual: the surface appears natural, with no artificial constructions, yet they all appear to be circular in shape, nearly perfectly so. We will need to head down there to gather more data.

site_ex_gravitas

A string of strange anomaly readings is emanating from the surface of [From.Planet.GetName]. We need to launch a surface excursion to find out more.

site_adakkaria_fleets_of_the_thrice_damned

The strange energy fluctuations in this area obscured a massive naval graveyard. This necropolis of polymer and metal may harbor a vital clue to understanding the adAkkaria Convention.

site_hunting_ground

Fossilized remains from several different species that do not appear to have been indigenous to [From.Planet.GetName] have been found in a large and secluded valley on the planet. They all date from roughly the same time period, within the span of a few centuries some 3.6 million years ago. Each of these species seems to have evolved in its own unique biosphere, and all appear to have been sapient. Strangely, every fossilized individual found so far shows signs of having met a violent end.

site_from_gateway_sent

Our scientist have reached the impact site of the object from the gateway that crashed into [From.Planet.GetName] at incredible speed. It's clear from the look of the impact site that this was no ordinary crash landing, and our scientists are eager to investigate further.

site_hidden_lab_a

Scanners detect a hidden complex buried beneath the ice and snow of [From.Planet.GetName]. A large network of partially-collapsed or blocked tunnels seems to connect the various underground structures.

site_star_petal

A large derelict space station is trapped in a slow terminal orbit inside the atmosphere of this gas giant. The gravitational stresses will likely destroy it completely within the next thousand years. It has not yet drifted deep enough into the atmosphere to make archaeological expeditions to the station impossible.

site_warmer_climates

Orbital imagery of [From.Planet.GetName] clearly shows the infrastructure of a technological civilization. Mysteriously, despite massive urban areas linked by an extensive surface transport network, the planet seems totally abandoned, with no signs of extant sentient life. The planet's core is more active than most, but there is no sign of any disastrous event or anything else that would immediately explain the missing population. Where did they all go?

site_orbital_rain

The visual sensor feed from [From.Planet.GetName] shows formations in the seabed of this ocean world that are highly unusual.

site_green_skies

Our scanners picked up a series of intriguing signals coming from this area of the planet. Based on their composition, it's highly likely there is a remnant of an ancient civilization waiting to be uncovered there.

grunur_digsite_1

oracle_digsite

site_hold_the_line

The passing cosmic storm left behind a curious present: an orbital complex from an old habitat system. Boarding may allow us to reactivate it.

site_shot_into_the_ground

Orbital telemetry shows a massive impact crater on the surface of [From.Planet.GetName]. It was not caused by a meteorite strike, as the crater is surprisingly deep in proportion to its diameter. In fact, the actual depth cannot yet be determined, as the shaft is choked by rock debris part of the way down, blocking any further orbital scans. It appears that a conventional excavation is the only way to find out what lies below.

clone_army_digsite

site_in_memoriam

Underground structures are apparently a popular motif amongst our mysterious Benefactors.

site_adakkaria_the_patriotic_institute

Orbiting a desolate planet, this ancient habitat was built by the adAkkaria Convention. The high quality building materials used in its construction have ensured the station is in near pristine condition. Tuning into the transmission frequency, we picked up a single message, followed by a bombastic jingle: Welcome to the Patriotic Institute of Exalted Benevolence.

endless_expanse_digsite_2

rubricator_digsite

site_space_shanty_dig

site_transformation_dig

Our scientists have discovered something unusual on [From.Planet.GetName]. A tropical world, much of the planet's surface is covered with dense jungle: massive, thousand year old trees erupt from the canopy, their leafy crowns towering over the landscape. At first glance, the distribution of these giants appears random. However, further analysis indicates that the trees are arranged with mathematical precision, and it seems likely they were planted by some long-vanished civilization. What's more, the team leader believes the distribution pattern may comprise a set of coordinates, one that points to an unexplored location deep within the jungle.

site_lesser_messenger

A closer look at [From.Planet.GetName] shows small signs of a civilization that once populated the planet.

site_minigalaxy_1

Ruins of a large base complex of some kind can be found inside a large crater on this moon. It must have been abandoned thousands of years ago. The energy barrier that encompasses the nearby planet appears to originate from a source directly beneath this ancient base.

site_moon_bump

Even with the naked eye it is easy to see something highly irregular in the shape of [From.Planet.GetName]. The smooth curvature of the surface is suddenly interrupted by a gigantic spherical bump. At some point a moon or large asteroid collided with the planet, but must have done so in a fairly delicate manner, merely lodging itself in the planet's crust rather than rending it asunder.

mutation_vats

site_lost_moments

The Science Ship has picked up a strange reading emanating from [From.Planet.GetName].

site_polaris_seed_vault

Encapsulated in what remains of the planet's tiny ice cap, floating on the crystal clear oceans of [From.Planet.GetName], is what appears to be an artificial structure. A team is required to excavate this structure.

site_weathermanipulators_storm_formation

Saved within the command console of the Sectoral Disturbance Depressors was a data signal. Though difficult, we were able to clone its pattern and search the galaxy for a match. The trail led to an uninhabited planet. It is time to discover what the Inetian Traders were targeting, and why.

planetary_mechanocalibrator

site_engineered_species

[from.planet.GetName] appears to be a standard habitable planet, but on closer inspection, our research team has spotted large deposits of fossils in seemingly well-preserved conditions. Interestingly, larger clusters contain multiple specimens on the same layer, indicating that they either died at the same time or were placed there intentionally. Examination of these remains gives us the opportunity to better understand the evolutionary process of the species inhabiting this planet.

site_popular_rock

Sensors have detected energy readings in a cluster of asteroids. Further investigation is recommended.

relicrails_digsite

site_repowered_complex

Following the passing of a recent Electric Storm, an unexplained power surge was detected beneath the surface of [From.Planet.GetName]. Further scans revealed an aging subterranean complex whose power generators were reactivated by the storm, bringing the facility back online.

site_robot_debris

The entire surface of this small asteroid is covered in robot debris, trapped in its weak gravity field. All of it appears military in nature, and there are enough combat droids here to outfit several armies had they not be shattered beyond all repair.

site_ruined_reactors

Elevated radiation levels on the surface of [from.Planet.GetName] were traced to a dilapidated reactor complex. The isolated facility appears inactive and warrants investigation.

site_ruins_of_shallash

[From.Planet.GetName] was clearly once home to a highly-advanced civilization; its six moons with orbits at equidistant intervals are evidence enough of that. However, the planet is in ruins and the entire star system shows signs of an extraordinarily violent struggle. What could have happened here?

site_percussive_maintenance

A large station orbiting in alarmingly close proximity to the neutron star is giving off strange readings. Although its current position is stable, it shows considerable wear and tear. A proliferation of scorch marks indicates that it was rocked by several large explosions in the past.

omnirelic_site

it_was_aliens_site

site_rage_sage_dig

We have discovered an ancient alien starship lying half-buried in an asteroid crater. Glacial ice has inexorably spread across most of the ship, but we can easily access the airlock... and search for any secrets hidden behind it.

site_something_waiting

The previously discovered alien indicators are pointing at this planet, and we should go down on the surface and investigate further.

asteroid_vault_1

site_strange_flows

What should be a "normal" molten planet is making the Science Ship's sensors glitch uncontrollably. Further study is advised.

the_host

site_georadiation_terraforming

Our sensors have detected an irregular communications signal emanating from deep within an impact crater on [from.Planet.GetName]. Seismic topology scans reveal a network of subterranean caverns with a collapsed entrance at the center of the crater. Alongside this, our radiology equipment is detecting faint traces of gravitational radiation emanating from the site, posing more questions than it answers.

site_target_from_orbit

An artificial construct thousands of kilometers across is readily visible from [From.Planet.GetName]'s orbit. The shape seems to indicate a location of importance in the middle of it. Sensory readings from orbit indicate nothing out of the ordinary so closer inspection is warranted.

site_weathermanipulators_the_ancient_storm_shelters

A shelter buried under the debris of a storm-ravaged world; the devastation is making it hard to investigate, but the interior appears intact.

baol_digsite_1

broken_world_digsite

site_echoes_inside

Readings from [From.Planet.GetName] reveal that it was once mostly covered in lush vegetation. Now the forlorn orb is little more than a barren rock. Despite lacking any noteworthy tectonic activity, sensory scans of the planet have registered puzzling seismographic data. Something is moving underground, something big. This warrants further investigation.

endless_expanse_digsite

site_grand_herald

Even without instruments, one can readily see the remains of vast conurbations down on [From.Planet.GetName]. Clearly a highly advanced civilization once dwelt there, but today there are no life signs nor electromagnetic signals consistent with a technological society. The planet seems dead. We will have to go down there to find out more.

site_the_last_stand

Scanner readings from orbit indicate that there is a structure down on the planet. Unlike the previous ones, this one is not buried underground.

site_the_library

A thick layer of glass and metal covers this otherwise barren planet, perhaps hinting at some sort of cataclysmic event in its past.

site_adakkaria_the_propaganda_station

This ancient communication station is still active. By boarding the site and directly interfacing with its systems we might be able to decipher its previous broadcasts.

sentinels_digsite

baol_digsite_2

baol_digsite_3

site_tiyanki_graveyard

The surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is entirely covered in the remains of dead Tiyanki. Our sensors detect no signs of life, and yet the corpses still writhe and squirm, as if animated by some inscrutable force.

site_cut_to_fit

The surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is utterly without precedent in all our exploration to date. Vast geological areas, from mountain ranges to entire continents, are suddenly cut by shapes far too geometrically regular to be natural in origin. The otherwise natural-looking environments are suddenly broken by entirely flat planes, perfect triangles and sharply-angled corners. At present, any explanation of this baffling phenomenon is pure conjecture.

site_toxic_matrix

[from.Planet.GetName]'s surface is almost entirely covered by a lattice grid of small, circular, liquid-filled pools. Their neat alignment suggests deliberate engineering rather than natural formation. A field expedition may provide more answers.

site_trench_world

The entire surface of [From.Planet.GetName] is scarred by long, shallow canals. They cross and re-cross each other haphazardly, with no apparent logic to their layout. It is as yet uncertain if they are an unusual natural feature, or something else. A surface expedition is required to try to ascertain more.

site_ice_trauma

The vast, frozen wastelands of [from.planet.GetName] were once seas, spread atop an abundance of deep volcanic canyons. Though the environment is no longer capable of supporting life, we have detected the ruins of ancient submarine settlements in icebound trenches close to the planet's surface.

site_tombworld_weapon_cache

A large reinforced cache has been found underneath the broken ground of [From.Planet.GetName]. It's surprisingly intact considering the years it spent buried in a radioactive wasteland.

lithoids_digsite

site_adakarria_windswept_fates

As destructive as cosmic storms can be, this one uncovered evidence an alien civilization. Though the planet's atmosphere is incredibly unstable, a landing party might reveal whatever horrible fate befell this ancient culture.
