Beyond Impact

Initial reports from our excavation on … are both extraordinary and a bit unnerving. Analysis of the surface debris in the impact crater and its immediate surrounding revealed a surprise; apparently the unknown object did neither break, nor brake, upon impact. Somehow the object managed to pierce through the soil, and is now resting deep in the ground. Further excavations is ready to begin.
