Upon opening the cargo deck doors, a swarm of bioluminescent organisms took us by surprise and scurried in the rest of arkship. Xenobiologist reports indicate that these beings are non-aggressive and pose no threat to our citizens or to the ship's integrity. The tiny creatures posses an oval shaped body, supported by elongated limbs, and are capable of climbing walls and ceilings while moving at remarkable speed. They appear to feed on small vermin-like critters from our ecosystem, luring them over with bioluminescent glands located in their thorax. Already, inhabitants have gotten used to them, and find them to be especially pleasing at night, when their lights and soft chirps offer a comfortable spectacle.
