The Devoted Adepts straddle the worlds of the elite and the layperson. Beginning their clerical career as Faithful adherents to our ways, and aspiring to High Pilgrim-hood, they represent a perfect cross section of the ship's company. It is for these reasons that we emphasize our respect for the Devoted. They inform the Faithful of their potential, and they remind the High Pilgrims where they came from. They keep us humble, and connected across all decks. Honoring the Devoted with a ceremonial blessing would be a good way to convey societal gratitude. It may even inspire them to devote themselves even harder to their practice.
