Stellar Tunneling

The truth about … is stranger than we imagined. Ongoing investigations have revealed a twinned pair of subspace tunnels deep within our star. One of these channels hydrogen-rich material directly into the outer shell, accelerating fusion and increasing helium production. This should drive core compression, but the second tunnel actively siphons energy, counteracting the process. The result is the expansion of the star. Initial telemetry from both subspace tunnels suggests they connect to multiple endpoints scattered across the galaxy. Our survival depends on investigating these as soon as possible.
