Lava Whirlpool

The samples reveal that the whirlpool is in part sustained by a steady pool of Living Metal, which is torn apart by the currents and then attempts to reconstitute itself. That reconstitution further disturbs the lava, continuing the whirlpool's motion. The sampling also demonstrates that this Living Metal could be harvested with little effort.
