The … System

As our ships enter the … system, it is immediately obvious that something very strange happened here. One of the planets - which boasts an eye-catching distribution of moons - appears to have once been habitable, but initial scans show high levels of radiation. Another planet has been totally destroyed. Debris is scattered across the system, suggesting that whatever civilization once lived here was obliterated in a violent struggle. A battleship patrols the system. It is not responding to our hails, and it's set on an intercept course for the …, its weapons systems charging up.
