Frozen alongside are dozens of their retainers whose own cryopods adorn the walls in ceremonial fashion. The dead ruler's technological sarcophagus is connected via a labyrinthine network of tubes and circuitry to an ancient machine. This device is embedded into a large body of ice, the temperature of which approaches dangerously low levels to even our analysis equipment. What caused the apparent malfunction of this facility and its relationship to the planet's frozen core requires more study.
