Researchers on … have eagerly anticipated the countdown of the mysterious atomic clock of prodigious precision found on … for the past 42 years and 3 days. Several decades' worth of heated speculation and conjecture have evaporated in an instant: the clock has just now reached its momentous deadline, ejecting a stream of self-replicating nanites! These nanites left the surface of the asteroid, where they have coalesced into a fascinating, unmanned military vessel. It is ours for the taking, should we so desire.
