A Dimension of Suffering

The Dimensional Portal on … seems to lead to a realm of evil and disquiet. Any direct contact with material from this dimension causes intense suffering in the subject, which if continued for more than a few minutes leads to intense violent urges. Even simply studying data recorded in the strange dimension causes cascading errors in computer systems, or intense discomfort in sapient beings. However, we have found that one of the Order's relics wards its wearer effectively, and would allow us to send a single knight through.

The command below will trigger the "A Dimension of Suffering" event in Stellaris:

When this event fires, you can choose between these 6 options:

• Find a way to close the Portal!
  • Start special project: Close the portal!
• Perhaps Psionics is the solution?
  Available only if Requires technology: Psionic Theory.
  • Start special project: Close the portal!
• Pray for a solution
  Available only if Must not have technology: Psionic Theory.
  • Start special project: Close the portal!
• Try filling the Portal with rocks!
  Available only if Requires civic: Feudal Society.
  • Start special project: Close the portal!
• Send our best knight in!
  Available only if Requires origin: Knights of the Toxic God.
• Study the Portal
  • The Dimensional Portal can be studied on an ongoing basis.
  • Add deposit: Portal Research Area
