Succeeding the Trial of Sacrifice

The colonist stood before the bound form of King Tamperion, silent, unmoving. Upon the obsidian table, the blade awaited. The Dark Immortal offered no guidance. The colonist took the blade and drove it cleanly into Tamperion's chest, swift and decisive. He made no cry. There was only a soft metallic chime, like the distant clanging of bells. King Tamperion looked up, eyes calm. The blade, buried to the hilt, had not pierced flesh, but something else entirely. His chest glowed faintly, pulsing with a golden light. King Tamperion the 'Goldenhearted' indeed... The bindings around the king dissolved and the dais faded. The Dark Immortal spoke once more into our minds: 'You may proceed.'
