We have made a discovery. By manipulating specific genes, we can expand the reach of our consciousness to give us heightened senses beyond what we once thought of as the limits of our species. Implementing these mutations hive-wide will require a great deal of energy, but doing so may deepen our understanding of the universe as well as our place within it.
