Portents of Doom

The Far-Seer silently considered our words. "Can it be true that my efforts here will doom us? If breaching the Shroud will lead to disaster, it would be folly to pursue it further. My people trust me. If I denounce the Shroud as a source of corruption, our desire for ascension may be quenched. But perhaps there remains a way... Armed with the knowledge you have given me, I could approach the higher powers within the Shroud differently, forestalling the disasters that befell us in your dimension."
