Jammed

The gears have jammed. With a great shudder, the entire mechanism came to a halt. Our attempt at sabotage was successful. As the tension grew, a golden core was exposed under one of the reticulated plates. Glowing and pristine, it will only be accessible for a short time. Inevitably, the growing tension will clear the blockage. We have already begun the delicate process of the core's extraction.
