Giant Eggs
Our probe has discovered a clutch of giant eggs, each as big as the Rift Sphere. They are expected to hatch imminently, and when they do the planet will be crawling with creatures we know next to nothing about. We can detect no other living specimens on the planet, so the growth cycle of this species is unknown to us. Mostly barren, this planet's ecosystem does not seem capable of supporting a thriving population. Our leading theory is that this species follows an interstellar migration pattern. The adults of the species must therefore currently be off-world.
