While studying the desertlings on … our scientists have made a pivotal observation. Despite the ubiquitous nature of the species, there is a striking absence of matching fossil records. These ecological interlopers have caused extreme environmental damage over a relatively short time period, and were most likely transported here by an outside actor. The pressing need for intervention has become abundantly clear. Without action, these creatures will destroy what remains of this planet's natural ecosystem.

When this event fires, you can choose between these 4 options:
- We will adopt as many critters as possible.
- We will be responsible for their actions.
- Enact animal population controls.
- Select genetic modifications could be used to curb the growth...
- Start special project: Population Control
- Exterminate the beasts.
- The planet must be protected at all cost.
- We'll take some animals as livestock.
- We'll take two slaves for every planet.
