Wooden Hegemony

The inelegant elimination of wide swathes of the dominant trees on … have had unintended consequences. The small animals that previously suffered under the perennial tyranny of the trees are growing both more plentiful and more aggressive - some would say savage. The isolated ashen fields that used to be home to lush forests now play host to heated territory battles.
