Science Officer … has reported back from the Percipient's shrine. Its walls are inlaid with logographic script, heavily distorted by layers of a protective lacquer. Initial attempts to decipher this text failed; its grammar is too distinct from other linguistic groups we've encountered. The crew of the … tried removing the protective lacquer for a clearer view, but to no avail. The mission was about to be declared a failure when - on the cusp of an irritated outburst - … suddenly began to perceive discrete lines of coherent text. It did not take the crew long to utilize these insights as a codex. Soon they had the ceiling, walls and floor imaged in a spiral pattern: part of a broader picture which we believe may be completed using texts from the other shrines.
