The expedition carried out by our … on … has disturbed the decaying husks of some local wildlife, which seem now to be under the sway of parasitic fungi. These fungal zombies immediately began assaulting us, apparently drawn to sources of water in our camp and inside our very bodies. The zombies made short work of … before they could be burned down by our security team. Their desiccated remains are all that is left of them.
