Ideographs on the reverse side refer to the artifact as The Mask of Transformation. This is likely a reference to the transformative power of the planet's moon, controlling the tides as it transitions from one phase to the next. The Mask itself possesses incredible psionic properties, and is likely responsible for the rapid climatological transformation of the planet. Whoever fostered the crystal pillar and planted the elaborate map of trees in the forest above clearly intended to honor and protect this artifact. The team theorizes that, if properly used, the Mask may enable our empire to transform entire worlds.
