In-depth description

The Stellaris command remove_ethic_pop is used to remove a specific ethic from a selected population unit ('pop') in the game.

Ethics play an important role in the game as they define how a particular population unit behaves, reacts, votes, and even revolts. Each ethic has a certain influence on the attitudes, policies and the overall happiness of the population.

The remove_ethic_pop command removes a chosen ethic from the selected pop. To use this command, you type remove_ethic_pop followed by the ID of the population unit you want to affect, and the ethic you want to remove.

For example, if you wish to remove the ethic Militarist from a pop with the ID of 20, you would type: remove_ethic_pop 20 ethic_militarist.

This command is very useful in situations where a certain ethic is causing undesirable effects for your empire.

For example, if a pop's ethics are causing social unrest, political instability or unhappiness, you might want to remove the negative ethic. Other scenarios might be to re-balance your population or prepare for a particular diplomatic, scientific, or military strategy.
