Quick Overview

The path command in Stellaris is used to find the most efficient route between two stars in the game.

This command will provide the user with a navigational path outlining the best way to travel from one star to the next.

In-Depth Description

The Stellaris command path is primarily used to find the shortest route or path between two star systems in the game. Given the vast scale of the Stellaris galaxy, it's a convenient tool to navigate through space.

By typing path followed by the ID of the origin star and the destination star, it will show you the most efficient way to get to your destination.

This command is useful when you want to calculate the quickest route for your fleet to reach a destination. It also helps to identify which hyperlane connections you need to secure and protect, and could potentially show where your enemies are likely to attack or travel through.

In a strategic sense, knowing the quickest paths allows you to deploy fleets more effectively, protect your borders efficiently, or plan invasions with more precision. The path command is useful in any situation where optimizing your empire's movements is important.

How to Open the Command Console

In Stellaris, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
