This command causes all building (including ships, upgrades, stations, etc) to be instantly completed, rather than take time to build. The effects of this command apply to everything in the game (including AI) so it is recommended that you pause your game before using it.

The command instant_build in Stellaris is an extremely useful cheat or console command.

When you activate this command, it allows all of your construction orders (like buildings and ships) and upgrades to finish immediately instead of taking time.

This means whether you are constructing a spaceship or upgrading a building, it will be completed instantly.

In addition to this, the command also provides you with unlimited resource storage, meaning you can store as many resources as you like without running out of storage capacity.

How to Open the Command Console

In Stellaris, cheats are executed from the command console, a text box that you type commands into.

To open the command console press the ~(tilde) key, which is typically located under ESC (escape).

If your keyboard does not have that key, or pressing ~ does not work, try the following keys:

  • ~
  • SHIFT + 2
  • SHIFT + 3
  • ALT + 2 + 1

Type your command into the console, and then press ENTER .
